More than the resort, whenever you want it.
A Mirage Resort Villa comes with full access to Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort as standard. The Experiences page is for everything beyond that: reef departures, rainforest tours, golf tee times, private childcare and anything else that turns a good stay into a particularly well-planned one. Everything listed here can be arranged in advance through our team or directly with the operators below. Nothing is compulsory, and there is no minimum spend.
Mirage Country Club: an 18-hole championship course on the doorstep.
Mirage Country Club sits alongside the estate and offers an 18-hole championship course designed by Peter Thomson, open seven days a week. Packages start from $135, with exclusive green fees available for resort guests bringing their own clubs. The club also features an aquatic driving range, a 25-metre lap pool, three tennis courts and a Pro Shop. Bookings are essential.

Busy Bee Kids Club and babysitting services.
Busy Bee Kids Club is available at the resort during Australian school holiday periods, providing supervised activities for children while adults make the most of the afternoon. For evenings or outside of school holidays, babysitting is also available. Enquiries and bookings can be made directly through Busy Bees.
Facials, massages and beauty treatments in the Sunbird Village.
Kaia Day Spa is located in the Sunbird Village on the resort grounds and offers facials, massages and a full range of beauty treatments. Booking in advance is recommended, particularly for couples treatments and group bookings. The spa can be reached directly by phone or through the website.

One of 25 exclusive cabanas at the lagoon, for the day.
The resort's nine pools include eight saltwater lagoon pools sourced directly from the Coral Sea, and a freshwater swim-up pool bar. Twenty-five exclusive poolside cabanas are available for hire: shaded, serviced positions at the water's edge with direct access to the Lagoon House Pool Bar team. Available for full-day hire, bookable in advance through the Virtual Concierge.
One of the world's great natural wonders, forty-five minutes offshore.
The outer reef is forty-five minutes from the resort's Crystal Super Yacht Marina by boat, making Port Douglas one of the most direct departure points on the Queensland coast. The ribbon reefs at Agincourt and Opal Reef retain a quality and diversity that draws divers and snorkellers from across the world. The operators below depart directly from the marina and cover the full range of reef experiences, from large comfortable vessels to small expert-led tours.

Quicksilver Cruises
The most established outer reef operator from Port Douglas, taking guests to Agincourt Reef at the very edge of the Continental Shelf. Options include snorkelling, introductory and certified diving, an underwater observatory, and a semi-submersible for non-swimmers. A full-day experience on a large, stable vessel with onboard facilities.
Wavelength
Owned and operated by marine biologists, Wavelength runs small, personalised snorkelling tours with a low-impact philosophy and more exclusive mooring sites than any other local operator. Maximum group sizes are kept deliberately small, and the crew-to-guest ratio means every person on the water gets proper attention. Well suited to guests who want a more considered reef experience.
Sailaway
Premium sailing and snorkelling to Mackay and Undine Coral Cays on the outer reef, and to Low Isle for a more sheltered experience. Small numbers, first-class service and genuine eco-tourism credentials. The sunset sailing option suits couples and small groups looking for something more atmospheric than a standard reef day.
Divers Den
A dedicated dive operation with Project Aware Go Eco status since 2006. All day trips go to the outer reef, and the June to July Minke Whale expedition is among the most sought-after marine experiences in North Queensland. Trips in this window sell out well in advance and are worth booking before arrival.
GBR Helicopters
Scenic flight tours departing directly from the resort grounds. The aerial perspective over the reef and the rainforest coastline is a different experience entirely from being on the water, and one of the few ways to appreciate the full scale of both World Heritage sites in a single morning. Options range from 10-minute reef overflights to extended tours of Tropical North Queensland.
The world's oldest tropical rainforest, forty minutes north.
The Daintree Rainforest is tens of millions of years older than the Amazon and covers roughly 1,200 square kilometres of Tropical North Queensland. The Captain Cook Highway north from Port Douglas, with the Coral Sea on one side and the forest beginning on the other, sets the scene before you have even crossed the Daintree River. The operators below cover the main ways into the forest, from river cruises to Indigenous cultural walks.

Solar Whisper Wildlife Cruises
The only zero-emissions boat on the Daintree River, Solar Whisper’s personalised guided tours are among the most reliable ways to see the river's wildlife up close. Small groups and an unhurried pace.
Dreamtime Tours
A guided walk through Mossman Gorge along private, culturally significant tracks. Guests are welcomed with a traditional smoking ceremony before moving through rainforest, participating in ochre painting, using natural bush soaps and sharing traditional bush tea and damper. One of the few immersive Indigenous cultural experiences available in the region.
Daintree Discovery Centre
An hour north of Port Douglas, the Discovery Centre offers self-guided and professionally guided access to the forest's flora, fauna and Indigenous cultural history. An accessible, well-resourced option for families and guests who prefer a structured experience.
